The ignition mechanism is concealed by a protective cover with a fine Dunhill brand engraving. Opening the lid exposes the friction wheel ignition, and turning the wheel toward the operator reliably ignites the flame.
The finely crafted diamond pattern on the surface, combined with shiny elements, creates a harmonious and elegant overall appearance. The flame intensity can be precisely adjusted using a plus/minus control at the base of the lighter. This is also where the opening for refilling the gas is located.
